At Seabrae Manor, vibrant community life is something we celebrate every day. This September brought a joyful mix of history, creativity, and seasonal delights that perfectly captured the energy and warmth of our residents.
Residents were captivated by the visit of BUBSIE, the replica vintage car that symbolises the pioneering spirit of Australians. The story of Neville Westwood’s legendary journey around the country in 1925 sparked great conversation and nostalgia, and everyone enjoyed engaging with this remarkable piece of history.
Welcoming spring was a refreshing occasion in itself. Our garden came alive with colour, and thanks to our very own green thumb, Resident Greg, we were treated to a fresh bunch of homegrown spinach. Nothing says springtime like produce grown with care and shared with community.
Father’s Day was a heartfelt celebration at Seabrae Manor. With thoughtful donations from George Hartnett and Traditional Funerals, and beautiful cards made by our team member Brooke, our dads felt honoured and loved throughout the day.
The lovely weather encouraged everyone to step outside and enjoy the courtyard, and the highlight was certainly our cheese and wine social afternoon. With a spread of delicious cheeses and great company, the laughter and smiles said it all.
In a special cultural moment, we also marked Respect for the Aged Day, a Japanese tradition recognising the contributions of senior citizens. Residents created beautiful cherry blossom-themed artworks under the guidance of Yuko, one of our Japanese residents, who generously shared her culture and creativity with all.
At Seabrae Manor, it’s this sense of connection, celebration, and sharing that makes our vibrant community life so truly special.
