April was a month full of warmth, creativity and community spirit here at Seabrae Manor Aged Care. Our residents enjoyed a variety of events that brought joy, recognition, and opportunities to connect with each other and the wider community.

Welcoming Young Visitors and a Familiar Furry Friend

We began the month with a delightful visit from the children at Agile Learning. Their energy and enthusiasm brightened everyone’s day — especially when they met our much-loved therapy dog, Max. Intergenerational visits like this always create special moments and lasting smiles.

Easter Preparations and Artistic Expression

Residents got creative early in the month, making beautiful Easter cards for loved ones and getting into the Anzac spirit with themed arts and crafts. These sessions were filled with colour, conversation and laughter — a lovely way for residents to share memories and express themselves.

Out and About in the Autumn Sunshine

On a gorgeous autumn day, residents set off on a bus trip to the Caboolture Airfield and Bribie Island. There was plenty to see and enjoy, and our residents returned home full of stories. Back at Seabrae, many also made the most of the sunny weather with courtyard catchups and walks.

Easter Raffle and Morning Tea Traditions

A heartfelt thank you to Carol from Gifts to a Door, the Geyer family, and Jan Moerenhout for their kind donations to our Easter raffle. With many residents joining in, the raffle was a great success. Easter morning tea was a standout event — thanks to our catering team, led by Tracey, and special floral arrangements by former Lifestyle Assistant Sharon B.

Special Visitors and Thoughtful Surprises

The Easter Bunny made a joyful appearance mid-month, bringing smiles to all. Celebrations continued with the 80th birthday of resident Lewis — a beautiful milestone shared with friends, family and cake.

Honouring Anzac Day Together

On 25 April, the Seabrae community gathered to reflect and remember. We thank Heartfelt Funerals for their donated wreath, and residents Geoff, Clare, and Colin Pyle for their moving contributions. It was a respectful and meaningful ceremony, supported by many of our families and staff.
