Discover the vibrant life at Seabrae Manor this March 2025. The month was filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful moments. Our community continues to thrive with exciting activities, meaningful connections, and plenty of fun.
Our residents had a fantastic time on a scenic bus ride to Nudgee Beach. Though the wind was a bit strong, we all decided to stay cosy in the bus to avoid messing up our hair! It was a lovely outing, nonetheless, filled with laughter and great company.
We were also delighted to host the Year 8 Innovation class from Grace Lutheran College. Their visit was truly special as they worked with our residents to explore opportunities for enhancing their daily living needs. The students engaged thoughtfully with everyone, and it was heart warming to witness such respect and collaboration across generations.
March also marked International Women’s Day, and we took the time to celebrate the incredible women in our lives and their lasting contributions. A day to remember, as we honoured the strength and spirit of women everywhere.
Two popular activities that always bring a smile to our residents are Music Therapy and Jab and Jive Boxing. These sessions are filled with energy, fun, and creativity, giving everyone a chance to engage both mentally and physically in an enjoyable way.
St. Patrick’s Day was another fun celebration at Seabrae Manor! We all wore our green attire, shared a few laughs, and embraced the spirit of the day with festive cheer.
Our connection with the younger generation is something we hold dear, and we’re grateful for the ongoing visits from Agile Early Learning Centre. The Intergenerational Program brought joy as children played games, shared their creativity through art, and connected with our residents in the most beautiful way.
We also want to thank Wendy and Candy from the Ole Lollie Shop for bringing their stall to Seabrae. Our residents had a blast picking out sweet treats and reminiscing about the good old days.
One of the highlights of the month was when Seabrae played host to the Blues Brothers! Our residents had an absolute blast enjoying the music, and it was a fun-filled afternoon full of dancing, singing, and laughter.
And lastly, we channelled our inner Picassos with a self-portrait activity. It was a wonderful afternoon of creativity and conversation as residents explored their artistic sides, with lots of laughs along the way. The end results were truly impressive!
At Seabrae Manor, we cherish the connections we make and the vibrant atmosphere that comes from our wonderful community. March 2025 was a month full of heart, and we can’t wait to see what the next month will bring!
