June 2025 at Seabrae Manor: A Month of Joy, Connection and Community
June was a truly memorable month at Seabrae Manor, where warmth, community, and celebration filled each day. We began by welcoming the delightful children from Agile Early Learning, always a highlight for both residents and staff. The smiles and laughter shared across generations reminded us of the simple joys in life. Our regular favourites continued to bring everyone together. No-bake cooking, devotion services, art sessions, Scrabble, and of course, happy hour, which sparked laughter, creativity and great conversation. A particularly emotional highlight was when Des proudly received his Armed Forces Veterans badge from the UK; a moving ceremony that left few dry eyes in the room. We also experienced the calming beauty of a Japanese Tea Ceremony, lovingly led by Hanna. It was a moment of peace and cultural reflection. We farewelled the wonderful Makyah and Harriet from Mango Hill State Secondary, who have made a lasting impression with their kindness and warmth. Our residents proudly contributed to the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea, raising funds for a cause close to many hearts. Meanwhile, our garden became a hub of creativity as residents created a vibrant fungi collage. At Seabrae Manor, June 2025 was all about community spirit, shared stories and heartfelt connections. We’re already looking forward to what the next month brings!
