November was a vibrant and meaningful month at Seabrae Manor Aged Care, filled with opportunities for residents, staff, volunteers and community partners to come together and share memorable experiences.

The month began with excitement and celebration as residents enjoyed Melbourne Cup Day. The atmosphere was lively, with plenty of conversation, laughter and friendly competition surrounding the race that stops the nation. Congratulations to Thelma, who proudly won the lucky door prize. We extend a big thank you to Heartfelt Funerals for generously donating the prize and supporting our community celebration.

Later in November, our community came together to respectfully acknowledge Remembrance Day with a memorial service held at Seabrae Manor. Residents and staff gathered to pause, reflect and honour those who served. We sincerely thank residents Clare and Geoff for reciting poems, and our dedicated volunteer Colin for reading the Ode. A special thank you also goes to George Hartnett Funerals for donating a beautiful wreath for the service, along with bookmarks for our residents. It was a deeply moving occasion that reflected the compassion and respect shared within our community.

At Seabrae Manor Aged Care, these moments highlight the strong sense of belonging that defines daily life. Whether celebrating iconic Australian traditions or honouring important moments of reflection, our residents remain at the heart of everything we do.
