The next steps to live at Seabrae Manor Aged Care Living
If you or a loved one is considering moving into an aged care home, there are steps you will need to follow before moving into a home.
Assessing Eligibility
The first step when considering moving into an aged care home that is subsidised by the Australia Government is to arrange a free assessment with an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The assessment is usually undertaken by a Doctor and/or other health professionals.
Centrelink Assessment
Pensioner fees are 84% of the Australian full pension, to assist the admission process a Centrelink assessment is also required as part of your application. Please contact your local Centrelink office for details.
Applying to an aged care home
Once you have been approved as eligible for residential aged care, you can start looking for, visiting and applying to aged care homes.
Please call us directly for an application pack and tour of the home
on 07 3053 3333.
Agreements with your aged care home
If you are offered a place by an aged care home, you will be required to enter into a residential agreement before moving in. It is a formal agreement outlining services, fees, and rights and responsibilities.
